Conference Venue
Located on Naples’ waterfront, opposite the legendary Castel dell‘Ovo and the Borgo Marinari, just a few minutes walk away is Piazza del Plebiscito and a little further, the Maschio Angioino.
Built in 1949, by engineer Roberto Fernandes the Grand Hotel Royal des Etrangers was considered one of the symbols of Naples’ waterfront.
In 1955, where the historic hotel once stood, the Hotel Royal, designed by Ferdinand Chiaromonte and the same engineer Fernandes was inaugurated. Later the famous designer and architect Gio Ponti participated in the project by creating the logo and designing the swimming pool and the furniture, using materials such as frisé maple wood, lined mahogany and briar-root.
The conference center of Hotel Royal Continental offers a fully equipped, modern Auditorium for +500 people, in 550 square metres of meeting facility areas, with two control rooms and simultaneous translation booths. 16 modular meeting rooms to accommodate business meetings and receptions and over 200 square metres of exhibition area for trade shows and sponsors.
How to reach the venue
By Plane
From Napoli Capodichino airport take the Alibus busline and get off at Piazza Municipio.
Continue on foot to via Acton and take bus 154; get off at the stop for Saint Lucia, and the hotel is just a few steps away.
By Train
From Napoli Centrale railway station, take Metro Line 1 (Garibaldi, just outside the station), going towards Dante, and get off at Toledo.
From there, you can take a taxi or enjoy a pleasant walk along Via Toledo and through Piazza del Plebiscito.
By Car
From the motorway, drive towards Piazza Municipio/Porto, continue on Via Acton, cross the Tunnel della Vittoria and follow Via Morelli. After 100m turn left into Piazza Vittoria.
Turn left to stay in the square and then turn left into via Arcoleo. Just before the entrance to the Tunnel della Vittoria, turn right into via Chiatamone. At number 54, turn right into via Dumas and at the end of the road turn left into the garage of the hotel.
